Basement Remodeling and Finishing
Most unfinished basements have the same footprint and wall locations as the first floor. While this may be the ideal finished design, many times we remove walls, install beams and completely redesign the space to give it an entirely different look than what you have upstairs. We will take your ideas, share with you some of ours as well and show you a redesigned basement on CAD so that you can visualize the space. We can just do a minimal amount of work and give you and your family much needed additional space or we can add a full Kitchen, Theater, Master Bedroom and Bath to give you what essentially amounts to a complete separate living environment. Here are a few thoughts on some different spaces:

Kitchen:
Do you have parents or older children moving in that you need to create a full living area? So many homeowner’s today are facing these possibilities and need to build out an area that allows their family to be separate and give them the space and privacy they need. A basement doesn’t have to be a drab, cold space. You can recreate the basement to be as similar or as different as the spaces above.

Theater/Media Room:
By looking at the overall space in your basement, we can determine the best area for your Home Theater and design it to maximize your enjoyment. By installing a sound abatement system to your walls and ceilings, you can enjoy the movie experience without disturbing family members or friends in other areas of the house. Sophisticated electronic equipment, 7 channel speaker system, wide screen, projector, theater seating and remote control to handle the equipment and lighting will give you the performance and experience you have always wanted. We can also add the stars in the ceiling to give you that drive-in or amphitheater feel.

Master Bedroom and Bath:
We can create a Master Bathroom that will rival the upper level Master Bathroom or just design and build a smaller bathroom with some of the same luxurious finishes. Either way, it’s nice to have a space where guests can feel like they are on vacation.

Exercise Room:
Have you ever wanted to stop the gym membership fees and just work out at the convenience of your home? Well, the basement is an ideal place for that. We can even install an audio system with an ipod docking station for your pleasure and convenience. If you want, we could even bolt a pull-up bar to the ceiling joists to maximize floor space. The opportunities are numerous depending on the amount of space required.

Wine Cellar/Storm Shelter/Gun Safe:
Some homes have basement space under the front or side porch. This space is typically enclosed with concrete walls and the concrete slab above, making it ideal for many uses. If you want to store guns or use it as a Safe Room, we can add a vault door for superior security. If it’s wine you want to store, we can add storage systems and racks with even a serving area if the space allows. This is also ideal, whether finished or unfinished to go when a storm is approaching.
