When thinking about remodeling your Kitchen, it is important to first determine 3 things:.
1. The items that we absolutely need to have to make this remodel worthwhile.
2. The items that we would like to have, but are not essential, if the budget allows.
3. The items that would be a dream to have.
If you look at these 3 questions, without looking at dimensional or space constrictions, then this opens up an array of opportunities for us to work with. Once we know your style and what you really like in a Kitchen we can, at that point, look at your existing space and determine if the space will allow for the type of remodel that you want. If, based on your desires, we need to look outside the confines of the existing space, we then can look at the surrounding space or even look at adding on to achieve those results.
As you probably know, Kitchens deliver the most resale value of any other part of the house. While a Kitchen remodel is typically the most expensive project per square foot of any other remodeling project you can do in a home, it doesn’t have to cost an arm and leg to do. By replacing old doors and resurfacing existing boxes, you can achieve, in some cases, a similar look to completely replacing cabinets. Moreover, so many Kitchens have 9’-10’ ceilings but the cabinets only go up to a height of 8’. By taking the cabinets all the way to the ceiling, you can achieve so much more cabinet space that you don’t currently have. This space is ideal for storing seasonal items that you don’t need to access everyday. It also offers a design element that gives your Kitchen a grandeur look. Also, many Kitchens are designed with the appliances, specifically the refrigerator, in an awkward location, so changing the locations may offer a better design.
